In the Fall of 2020, Larry Olson was named Ambassador of the Year by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce. He is one of the very few of the 60 ambassadors to have ever received this award more than once. Below is the link to the 4 minute video clip of the presentation.

The following is an except from the FMWF Chamber of Commerce April 2017 “Bridge” publication. Over a two year period a few dozen long time committee members were asked to answer a Q&A with 7 questions. The last question was, “What is the best professional advice you have ever received?” Larry was the only one to recommend using your inner compass for guidance.
“Everyone is created as a unique embodiment & endowed with an inner voice. Take time to discover & develop your uniqueness. Listen to your inner voice for guidance & to find your purpose. Use introspection to stay on or correct your course. Sometimes an avocation will turn into a vocation. When your best unique qualities are fully utilized in your chosen vocation, you will receive the greatest happiness. When you can combine a career with a heart of caring & living for the sake of others, you can find joy that is even longer lasting.”
The following quote appeared in the 2019 FMWF Chamber of Commerce “Metro Profile & Member Directory”:
“I’m grateful to live & work in a community with a heritage of strong family values, whose chamber leadership & member involvement make our communities a destination of choice for quality of living regionally, nationally & globally”
