FM Silver Strings Quartet & Ensembles
The FM Silver Strings has performed for hundreds of banquets, weddings, and receptions. The elegant sound of strings sets a marvelous mood for your special event. Dan Italiano is the conductor and arranger for the ensembles. He also performs as a violinist.
The FM Silver Strings usually performs as a string quartet (2 violins, a viola, & a cello) but can perform as a trio as well. Solo performances, with or without accompaniment is also an option. Music options range from light classics to showtunes to pop music. They can perform most requests and are willing to adapt music. Wedding options include pre-service music, music in the ceremony, and post-service music.

Duo Italiano
Dan & Carolyn Italiano have been performing as Duo Italiano for almost 30 years. They perform background music for all types of events. Duo Italiano features Carolyn on clarinet and Dan on violin. This is a perfect marriage of their musical talents and love of performing together.

Background Information
Dan Italiano is a musician, conductor, and orchestral teacher. With a degree in music education from St. Olaf College. Dan has studied conducting with Hugo Jan Huss, former conductor of the Rumanian Radio Orchestra, and the late John Paynter of Northwestern University. He is a past president of the ND Music Educators Association and the ND Chapter of the American String Teachers Association. In 1996 Dan was named NDMEA Music Educator of the Year.
Dan’s primary instrument is the violin which he plays in the FM Silver Strings and the FM Symphony. Dan has also performed with the Waukesha Symphony, Grand Forks Symphony, Milwaukee Civic Orchestra, and the FM Civic Opera Company. Before moving toFargo, he performed in the Symphony of the Hills,the GreatRiver Symphony, the Symphony School of America, and the LaCrosse Symphony.
Dan has been the Trollwood Performing Arts School (TPAS) mainstage musical orchestra conductor for more than 15 years- he has conducted 39 productions to date. During the school year, he teaches orchestra at Fargo North High School, a program recognized as one of the finest in the Midwest.
