After hitting his head onstage while riding a tall unicycle, David developed permanent nerve damage in his right arm. It was this event that sent his career into an entirely new direction: away from juggling and toward the unique tricks and hilarious stunts for which he is best known. David Deeble's show business career began at the age of 8 when he joined the now-legendary magic club The Long Beach Mystics. There, he was schooled relentlessly in the importance of being an entertainer - not just a magic act. After spending his formative years around magicians, David naturally decided to become a juggler. At age 12, he took fifth place at the International Jugglers Association's Junior Championships. At 13, he won the whole shebang.

David was able to parlay his high school degree into a career performing on the streets of Europe, but soon he was back in Los Angeles auditioning for every television commercial requiring a teenager who could juggle cereal boxes. Next, came years of touring the United States performing at a variety of venues, some great (Harrah's Lake Tahoe, The Comedy & Magic Club, The Magic Castle) and some not-so great (Uncle Chuckles).
