Diagnosed with a high-grade osteo sarcoma in 1992, Scott has blended his worlds of comedy, juggling and an uplifting cancer story to provide a potent, needful message combined with nationally recognized entertainment.
He has been the keynote speaker for hundreds of events nationally including: the Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS) National Congress, the ACCC National Conference in Washington, D.C., the National Coalition of Cancer Survivor's 1st Congress, local ONS meetings throughout the country, and survivor celebrations throughout North America.
Scott is the author of A Life in the Balance, a refreshingly honest, funny and inspirational book on surviving cancer. He has written several articles published by Coping magazine, MGI Pharma's Comfort Zone and the pages of the Minneapolis StarTribune. He was also selected as a contributor to the next printing of Chicken Soup for the Surviving Soul. His unique fusion of stand-up comedy, world-class juggling and profound cancer stories make for one of the most unusual, energetic and inspiring talks available to health care professionals and survivors alike.
